RentalReady
🎣

Gotcha! This was a simulated phishing test.

Relax — this was run by the RentalReady security team, not a real attacker. As a training exercise, we did not record anything you typed, and you're not in trouble.

What just happened

You received a fake “password reset” email, clicked the link, and entered a password on a fake page. If this had been a real attack, criminals would now have your login — and access to your accounts and company data.

What gave it away

  • The sender's email address wasn't a real RentalReady address — check the actual address, not just the display name.
  • It used urgency to make you click without thinking.
  • The link led somewhere that wasn't the real RentalReady site — hover over links before clicking.
  • You didn't actually request a password reset.

What to do from now on

  • Slow down on any email asking you to log in or reset a password.
  • Verify the sender and hover every link before you click.
  • Report anything suspicious to security@guestready.com — even if you already clicked.

If you ever enter your real password on a page you're unsure about: change that password right away and email security@guestready.com. Reporting is always the right move.
